[Analyst: Saudi Crude Oil Exports Overestimated, Stranded Cargo Ships Inflate Previous Statistics] Reported by Jinse Finance, on July 3, Energy Intelligence Group journalist Amena Bakr stated that informed sources revealed Saudi Arabia's crude oil and refined oil export volume averages around 5.8 million barrels per day, rather than the 6.3 million barrels per day reported by some. The higher data is due to the inclusion of previously stranded cargo quantities. The claim of 'market oversupply' is highly misleading. Traffic through the Strait of Hormuz has far from returned to normal. Previously, Bloomberg's compiled tanker tracking data showed that in the six days leading up to Wednesday, Saudi Arabia's average daily crude oil transportation volume was 6.3 million barrels. This transportation volume is roughly the same as the 2025 average level, nearly reaching 90% of February's figures.
