OUSD claims that over 140 companies are involved, while several South Korean companies deny cooperation
According to ChosunBiz, the global stablecoin alliance Open Standard has announced the launch of OUSD, with over 140 companies including Visa, Mastercard, BlackRock, Samsung Electronics, Dunamu, and others participating. Samsung Electronics, New Korea Financial Group, Dunamu, K Bank and other South Korean companies have stated that they have not formally negotiated with Open Standard and are confused about being included in the member list. OUSD adopts an open infrastructure model, where participating companies can mint one OUSD by depositing $1 into the Open Standard reserve account, and redeem $1 from the reserve account upon returning the OUSD.
