**[Jamf: Fake Maccy Clipboard App Spreads New Mac Password-Stealing Malware PamStealer]** Odaily Planet Daily News – Jamf Threat Labs reports that Mac users searching for the open-source clipboard manager Maccy are being targeted by a fake version of the app. This fake app installs a new Rust-based information-stealing malware called PamStealer, which may steal user passwords and cryptocurrency wallet keys. The malware is distributed via similar websites containing a malicious AppleScript file named Maccy.scpt within a disk image. It steals data after verifying the victim's login password through macOS Pluggable Authentication Modules. Jamf also revealed the discovery of ClickFix-style malware spread through X-sponsored ads. These ads promote DynamicLake and redirect users to dynamicmacisland[.]com, tricking them into opening Terminal and executing installation commands. Payload analysis shows this malware is a recent variant of Atomic MacSync Stealer. (Decrypt).
