EU MiCA implementation for one week, 21 stablecoin issuers and over 270 cryptocurrency service providers qualified

Patrick Hansen, Senior Director of Strategy and Policy at Circle EU, cited data from the European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA), stating that there are a total of 21 authorized issuers of electronic currency tokens (EMTs) in the EU, distributed across 12 member states, issuing a total of 35 EMTs and anchoring 8 types of fiat currencies. Among them, there are 6 licensed issuers in France, and the number of approved issuers of asset reference token (ART) is 0. The total number of registered CASP providers for cryptocurrency services has exceeded 270.
