The Capital Markets Authority (CMA) of Kenya is inviting bids for a blockchain analysis platform to support the regulation of crypto assets following the implementation of the *Virtual Asset Service Providers Act 2025*. According to the tender documents, the platform will enable real-time and historical transaction monitoring across at least 20 blockchains, including Bitcoin and Ethereum. It will help identify activities such as fraud, money laundering, terrorist financing, and sanctions evasion. The platform will also feature cross-chain fund tracking, transaction relationship analysis, high-risk wallet identification, and the detection of unlicensed offshore platforms providing services to Kenya. Currently, Kenya has not issued any Virtual Asset Service Provider licenses, and existing operators must achieve compliance by November 2026.
