Bull Bitcoin sues French Supreme Administrative Court, challenging DAC8 localization law

French cryptocurrency platform Bull Bitcoin has filed a lawsuit with the French Supreme Administrative Court, Conseil d 'É tat, requesting the revocation of the 2025-1276 decree localizing the EU DAC8 encrypted tax information exchange directive. The regulation requires all EU encryption service providers to report user identity information, place of residence, transaction details, and transfer data to self custodial addresses annually starting from 2026, and automatically exchange them among the tax authorities of the 27 member states.
