[Goldman Sachs: 2Q26 PC Shipments End Nine Quarters of Growth, Supply Tightness to Persist Until Early 2028] According to Trend Research, Goldman Sachs cited IDC data on July 8, showing that 2Q26 PC shipments reached 68.2 million units, a year-on-year decline of 4.9%. This marks the first decline after nine consecutive quarters of positive growth, primarily due to shortages in storage/memory components and high ASP suppressing demand. The performance of the top five manufacturers diverged significantly: Apple +10% (market share 9.9%), ASUS +0.2% (7.4%), Lenovo -2% (24.4%), Dell -5% (13.6%), HP -9% (19.1%). Goldman Sachs predicts that supply tightness will persist until early 2028, with shipments declining in 2H26. Major manufacturers are expected to leverage their supply chain management capabilities to capture market share from smaller players, leading to increased industry concentration.
