Walden Robotics completes $300 million seed round financing, valued at $1.1 billion

According to Bloomberg, Walden Robotics, a spin off of Toyota Robotics Research Laboratory, has completed a $300 million seed round financing with a valuation of $1.1 billion. This round is jointly led by Deviation Capital and Toyota Motor, with strategic investment and early-stage venture capital departments of Toyota Nvidia、 Boeing AE Ventures、 Samsung Ventures and CoreWeave Ventures participated in the investment. Walden is headquartered in Cambridge, Massachusetts and produces self-developed hardware, software, and AI models, focusing on deploying general-purpose robots in manufacturing and logistics facilities to handle tasks that workers consider heavy.
