Google Gemini 3.5 Pro delayed release, performance evaluation falls short of Muse Spark
According to APPSO, Google's flagship model Gemini 3.5 Pro has been delayed for several months due to its code capability not meeting internal targets, and its latest review performance is not as good as Meta's Muse Spark. Google has revoked the testing privileges of some employees, causing low morale among Gemini related teams. Noam Shazeer has switched to OpenAI, and John Jumper has joined Anthropic. Google responded that the Gemini 3.5 Pro is still being tested with partners and is also testing upgraded models such as Flash.
