According to EPFR Global Market Intelligence data, in the first half of 2026, US corporate insiders sold a total of $77.6 billion in stocks, an increase of 20% compared to the same period last year, and the selling rate was the second fastest in nearly 20 years. EPFR analysts Winston Chua et al. pointed out that corporate executives have no intention of increasing their holdings at the current valuation level. During the same period, insiders of the company bought $6.9 billion in company stocks, only slightly higher than the seven-year low of $6.7 billion in the same period last year.
