[BlackRock Leads $12 Billion Financing to Support Meta's Texas Data Center Project] According to The Wall Street Journal, BlackRock is leading at least $12 billion in debt financing to support a large-scale data center project in El Paso, Texas, in collaboration with Meta Platforms. BlackRock, along with its infrastructure and private credit business units, holds an 80% stake in the project, while Meta Platforms holds a 20% stake. The campus is expected to have approximately 1 gigawatt of computing capacity. JPMorgan Chase and Morgan Stanley are underwriting the debt issuance. BlackRock previously spent $40 billion to acquire Aligned Data Centers. Recently, Meta agreed to lease an under-construction Aligned Data Centers facility in Hedgesville, Pennsylvania.
