Chris Fall, Chief Artificial Intelligence Security Officer in the Trump Administration, Resigns, and Arvind Raman Takes Over the Work

A spokesperson for the US Department of Commerce confirmed that Chris Fall, the Chief Artificial Intelligence Security Officer in the Trump administration, has resigned after serving for three months. Alvin Raman, President of the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), will take over the regulatory work of the Center for Artificial Intelligence Standards and Innovation (CAISI) and serve as its acting director. Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick will select a new permanent director for the center.
