According to Protos, AI shopping agent developer ORO has disclosed losses of approximately $630000 due to a suspected North Korean hacker group Sapphire Sleet attack. The attacker sent counterfeit Microsoft Teams links to ORO employees through the hacked Telegram account to induce the installation of malicious extensions, and stole 147000 Alpha tokens on July 13th. ORO set the owner key as a software wallet due to insufficient support for hardware wallets in the Bittensor protocol, resulting in the key being stolen from the hacked computer.
