Deedy: AI chip startup challenges Nvidia through six paths
Anthropic investor Deedy pointed out that multiple AI chip startups are challenging Nvidia's dominant position in data mobility efficiency through six differentiated technology paths, including eliminating DRAM (Groq, acquired by Nvidia for $20 million), eliminating interconnect (Cerebras, listed for approximately $48 billion), eliminating compute and memory separation (d-Matrix), eliminating compute centric server architecture (Majestic), eliminating generality (Etched, Taalas, MatX), and eliminating $400 million worth of lithography machines (Substrate).
