OpenAI, Anthropic lobby US regulatory agencies to restrict open source models

According to Caixin, OpenAI and Anthropic have been in closed door communication with US regulatory agencies to push for stronger restrictions on open source models in response to the competitive pressure brought by Chinese AI companies' rapid breakthroughs in the open source field.
