LGT Asia Private Bank: USD/JPY exchange rate range moves up to 157 to 165 yen

Experts from LGT Asia Private Banking pointed out that the trading range of the US dollar against the Japanese yen will move up to 157 to 165 yen, compared to the previous range of 155 to 160 yen. Experts say that this change reflects the huge interest rate differential between the United States and Japan, the uncertainty of exchange rate intervention, and the rising fiscal risks in Japan. Japan may reduce verbal intervention, leading to larger and more unpredictable fluctuations in the US dollar to Japanese yen exchange rate.
