Iran's Deputy Foreign Minister: The Strait of Hormuz will not return to its pre war state, and British and French warships will become targets if they clear mines

The Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister stated that Iran's policy is that the Strait of Hormuz will never return to its pre war state. If ships are allowed to pass through the southern channel of the Strait of Hormuz, Iran's sovereignty over the Strait of Hormuz will become a mirage. Iran has informed France and Britain that any deployment of warships in the Strait of Hormuz for the purpose of mine clearance will make these warships legitimate targets for attack.
