Nexus Data Centers raises $15 billion, with Google providing guarantees and supplying chips

According to Interface News, data center developer Nexus Data Centers is raising $15 billion in financing for its AI data center project serving Anthropic, with Google providing guarantees and supplying chips. The project is located in Hubbard, Texas, USA and includes a 1.6GW power plant. The banking group led by Morgan Stanley is discussing a $14 billion bridge loan and revolving credit plan. Google has agreed to provide billions of dollars in guarantees for the four data center lease agreements and power purchase agreements signed by Anthropic when it is unable to fulfill its lease and power payment obligations.
