Hong Kong receives 25 cases of online dating fraud in a week, with a single loss exceeding HKD 26 million

According to a report by Dongwang, Hong Kong law enforcement agencies have received a total of 25 investment fraud cases involving online dating from July 24th to 30th, with a total loss of nearly HKD 70 million. Among them, a Pentecostal insurance practitioner was lured by an online dating partner to invest in virtual currency, resulting in a loss of over HKD 26 million.
