[Hong Kong and Macau Police Launch Operation 'Junli', Uncover Virtual Currency Fraud Case Involving Over $97 Million] According to a report by Hong Kong Wen Wei Po, the Commercial Crime Bureau of the Hong Kong Police Force, in collaboration with the Macau Judiciary Police, conducted a cross-border joint enforcement operation codenamed 'Junli' from August 1 to 3, arresting eight individuals. The Hong Kong police arrested one man and five women on charges of conspiracy to defraud, while the Macau Judiciary Police arrested two women on charges of aggravated fraud. As of August 3, the Hong Kong police had received 225 reports involving losses of approximately HK$94 million, while the Macau police received nine reports involving losses of approximately MOP 3.6 million, with the total amount involved exceeding $97 million.
