The Small Business Optimism Index in the United States rose to a nearly one-year high in July

The Small Business Optimism Index of the National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) rose 2.4 points to 99.8, the highest level since August 2025. The net proportion of US small businesses planning to increase positions has risen to its highest level since October 2022, and the proportion of US small businesses planning capital expenditures has reached its highest level since the end of 2024.
