Payward's Q2 2026 profit declined by 71%, while revenue increased by 17% year-on-year

According to Bloomberg, Kraken's parent company Payward's adjusted pre tax profit for the second quarter of 2026 was $23 million, a decrease of 71% from $79.7 million in the same period last year. Adjusted revenue for the same period increased by 17% year-on-year to $508 million. Payward stated that the weak trading volume in the cryptocurrency market is putting pressure on profitability.
