US President Trump urged Congress to pass the Clarity Act during a White House meeting, aimed at establishing a clear regulatory framework for digital assets and maintaining the US's leading position in the cryptocurrency field. The bill aims to clarify the authority of the SEC and CFTC in regulating digital assets and establish a federal level regulatory system for the cryptocurrency market. The attendees of the conference include executives from Coinbase, Ripple, Robinhood, Kraken, Chainlink, Gemini, as well as SEC Chairman Paul Atkins, CFTC Chairman Michael Selig, and White House Crypto Advisor Patrick Witt. The bill is expected to be resubmitted to the Senate for review in September. Trump emphasized that his administration has implemented policies such as strategic Bitcoin reserves, digital asset reserve programs, banning the US central bank digital currency (CBDC), and the Clarity Act.
