Analysts say that the US Treasury Department has actually repurchased approximately $200 billion worth of US Treasury bonds

--

Analyst Qinba Frank pointed out that the actual amount of funds available for the US Treasury to repurchase US bonds is about $200 billion, far below the market expectation of $1 trillion. If U.S. Treasury Secretary Besant uses the TGA account funds, he needs to reserve about 700 billion dollars to cover social security, medical insurance, treasury bond interest and other expenditures. The subsequent replenishment of TGA accounts by the Ministry of Finance will have a pumping effect on market liquidity.
