The sale of confiscated Anthropic shares by the US government at an undisclosed price and where the funds went
The US government sold the confiscated shares of Anthropic held by Caroline Ellison and Nishad Singh, who had invested $10 million and $40 million respectively in Anthropic financing. Based on Anthropic's valuation of $96.5 million, the two individuals hold shares worth approximately $41.7 billion to $50.3 billion. If listed at a valuation of $200 million, the value would be approximately $5.44 billion. At present, the government's proceeds from the sale range from $250 million to $110 million and have not yet been transferred to the FTX bankruptcy estate management system. FTX victim representative Sunil Kavuri is demanding that the government allocate funds for compensation, and the US Department of Justice is prioritizing providing compensation to the victims.
