Binance founder Zhao Changpeng stated that most of the initial drafts of his 374 page autobiography "Binance Life" were completed in prison, and the writing process was limited by device usage and queue time. Zhao Changpeng recalled that in November 2023, Binance paid a fine of $4.3 billion for violating the US Bank Secrecy Act, and was personally fined $150 million and resigned as CEO.
