Securitize has partnered with Socios to develop Socios Equity Tokens for compliant tokenization of minority stakes in professional sports clubs. Socios is responsible for sports industry cooperation and front-end fan interaction, while Securitize is responsible for securities issuance, investor account opening, ownership registration, and transfer control through regulated entities. Securitize stated that the total market value of professional sports clubs worldwide is approximately $500 billion, and this collaborative project is expected to become one of its first projects launched under the European Union's DLT pilot mechanism for the European trading and settlement system.
