[Fake GTA 6 Leak Website Tricks Users into Connecting Wallets, Stealing Crypto Assets] Researchers at Malwarebytes have discovered a website disguised as a GTA 6 fan countdown page that tricks users into purchasing a so-called leaked version of the game. Once users connect their cryptocurrency wallets, the site loads a theft program. The malicious code can check wallet balances, identify tokens and NFTs, and transfer assets upon user authorization. The related script supports Ethereum, Polygon, BNB Smart Chain, Avalanche, Arbitrum, Base, and Fantom networks. Rockstar has not released any copies of GTA 6 and will not require users to connect cryptocurrency wallets or make payments using cryptocurrency.
