According to The New York Post, Oman has rejected Iran's proposal to charge service fees to merchant ships in the Strait of Hormuz to avoid conflict with US President Trump. Trump had warned Oman not to agree to charges and imposed a maritime blockade on Iran. Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps spokesperson Hossein Mukhbi once claimed that the two sides had reached a revenue sharing agreement, but a US official told The New York Post that the relevant terms have not even been finalized by Tehran.
