British man recovers 61 bitcoins from Intersango after 12 years of legal dispute
A British man named Chris recovered 61 bitcoins worth approximately $4.4 million after 12 years of legal disputes following the closure of the UK cryptocurrency exchange Intersango in 2014. Chris purchased the aforementioned Bitcoin in 2011 and subsequently left the assets in custody on the exchange, without transferring them to a self custodial wallet. Intersango, formerly known as Britcoin, was one of the first exchanges in the UK to offer pound sterling Bitcoin trading. Ryan Sweetnam, Director of Financial Litigation at CEL Solicitors, assisted in the recovery of relevant assets. The law firm took four months to submit the required documents to the US court and ultimately completed the return through negotiation. Chris said that he opens his Bitcoin wallet about 20 times a day. (Bitcoin.com News)
