Republican members of the US Senate have released a 630 page new version of the CLARITY bill, incorporating 114 Democratic proposals for amendments and adding regulatory provisions for non decentralized financial transaction agreements. Agreements that meet the definition need to be registered with the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) and regulated by the CFTC and the US Treasury Department. The Senate will hold a procedural vote on September 15th to advance the CLARITY bill.
