The UK Labour government plans to legislate to restrict political donations from overseas wealthy individuals. The plan is to set the annual donation limit for British citizens living abroad at £ 100000 and apply it to those who have recently returned to the UK. Any illegal funds must be refunded within 60 days. Previously, Christopher Harborne and Ben Delo donated a total of £ 72 million to Reform UK.
