Trump: Decided not to establish a self regulatory agency for the AI industry

Musk, Zuckerberg, and Huang Renxun expressed their opposition to the establishment of an AI industry self regulatory agency modeled after FINRA to US President Trump, but Trump decided not to establish it. The plan was proposed by Demis Hassabis, CEO of Google DeepMind, in July. It proposes to establish an independent organization to test network security, biological, and deception risks up to 30 days in advance of the public release of cutting-edge models.
