SEC approves limited on chain trading of tokenized stocks, analysts call it a milestone for real tokenization of US stocks

Analyst Qinba Frank interprets the SEC's approval for limited trading of tokenized stocks on on on chain platforms. SEC Chairman Atkins aims to bring the US capital market into the digital age within its statutory authority. The innovation exemption policy allows listed US stocks to be converted into on chain tokens and traded through licensed AMMs or liquidity pools. TSV, a tokenized securities venue, provides a liquidity pool and sets admission rules. Token holders have the same voting and dividend rights as traditional stocks. Tokens can be minted by the issuer or a third party, and third-party minting requires written notice to the issuer and a 30 day opposition window.
