Polygon plans to destroy 100 million POL and establish a quarterly destruction mechanism

Polygon Foundation CEO Sandeep Navarre stated that Polygon plans to permanently destroy 100 million POL, and the relevant contracts have been deployed to the testing network. After the Security Council completes the final signature, they will be launched on the main network, and the community can continue to destroy POL that enters the cost collector on a quarterly basis thereafter. Since January 2026, POL has entered a deflationary state, with network infrastructure costs continuously entering the cost collector. Currently, approximately 121 million POL have been accumulated, and Polygon's revenue from 2026 to date is $24.5 million.
