Bitcoin breaks $82000, $750 million short position cleared

--

Bitcoin broke through the resistance level of $82000 and touched $87300, with approximately $750 million of bearish derivative positions liquidated and an increase of approximately $2 billion in open derivative contracts. Nansen analyst Nicolai Sondergaard stated that the speed at which prices are turning bullish is faster than changes in positions. The US spot BTC ETF saw a total outflow of $746 million on Tuesday and Wednesday, followed by inflows of $160 million and $433 million on Thursday and Friday, respectively. The average cost for holders was approximately $82200. Nicolai Sondergaard and Wintermute trader Jasper De Maere believe that BTC may test for $87000, $90000, and $92000. Jasper De Maere pointed out that there may still be significant fluctuations in the short term, and Nicolai Sondergaard warned that if spot demand cannot match leveraged growth, the market may quickly reverse under rising US bond yields or geopolitical shocks.
