The biggest problem with short-term swing trading is that once inertia forms, you might encounter a major drop or a big surge. Spot trading is fine since it essentially focuses on one direction. But contracts are different—you trade both long and short, and sooner or later, something will go wrong. To avoid trouble, you need to fight human nature and develop the habit of cutting losses when your prediction is off, rather than choosing to add to your position and hold on. The more times you add to your position and hold on, the closer you are to completely falling into the abyss.
