The US September composite PMI rose to 58.4, reaching a new high since July 2021
S&P Global announced that the initial value of the US September composite PMI rose to 58.4, higher than August's 56.0 and reaching a new high since July 2021. Chris Williamson, Chief Business Economist of S&P Global, stated that both the service and manufacturing sectors have performed strongly, but the economic expansion has been accompanied by the most severe supply chain bottleneck in nearly 20 years, and supply restrictions are related to actions taken by the United States and Israel against Iran.
