Lavrov: Russia and the United States should repair bilateral relations as soon as possible and put forward relevant prerequisites

Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov said during his meeting with US Secretary of State Rubio in New York that both sides should repair bilateral relations as soon as possible based on the consensus of the two heads of state. Lavrov proposed that Russia and the United States need to engage in dialogue on eliminating the stimulating factors in bilateral relations, promote the normal operation of diplomatic institutions, and return the Russian assets that were actually confiscated by the United States. These are the prerequisites for repairing relations. Lavrov pointed out that the Uzbek authorities cooperated closely with European sponsors, and reiterated that Russia would promote the goal of special military operations, while resolving the Russia-Ukraine conflict through political and diplomatic channels.
