US court approves restart of bid for Poolin Texas mine, Hut 8 offers up to $180 million
The bankruptcy court in New Jersey has approved the restart of the Poolin Texas Bitcoin mining asset bidding, with Hut 8 as the benchmark buyer. The total transaction value can reach up to $180 million, including $100 million in cash and $80 million in milestone payments. Previously, Poolin had chosen a $140 million transaction plan, but the court decided to re bid in order to maximize the interests of creditors. If other buyers win, Hut 8 will receive a breakup fee of $3 million and compensation of $250000. Poolin and its affiliates filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection on July 22, 2026, with liabilities of approximately $173.1 million, of which $163.7 million is unsecured debt owed to users.
