BitMart has released a preliminary tentative plan to address the $319.5 million shortfall caused by the December 2021 hacking attack and recent liquidity pressures. After evaluating the $10 million liquidity plan, the management believes it is insufficient to cover the shortfall and plans to implement a court approved plan to convert user balances into weighted average prices from July 26, 2026 to the designated record point. Users can choose to allocate, exchange recovery tokens, or exchange continuation tokens on the front-end. The BitMart team will solicit opinions from the top 50 users in the next three to four weeks.
