One person, running an on-chain hedge fund I've been following DeFi for a few years now, and there's always been this nagging feeling: protocols are getting easier to use, but stringing them together into a real strategy still feels like a 'team effort.' Want to do leveraged looped lending? You have to keep an eye on the interest rate curves of Aave, Morpho, and Compound all at once. Want to manage concentrated liquidity? Uniswap, Curve, and Aerodrome each have their own logic. Then there's hedging, rebalancing, and liquidation alerts—this whole process used to rely on the division of labor within a quant team. For individual users, it's mostly just staring at a few dashboards and manually moving funds around. Recently, a friend introduced me to a project called Almanak. In one sentence: it's a non-custodial on-chain strategy platform where you can describe a strategy in natural language or Python, simulate it, and then deploy it to your own wallet to run 24/7 automatically. What I value most is its architecture. Strategies are deployed in your own Safe smart account, with permissions strictly limited to what the strategy requires, and you can revoke them at any time. In other words, Almanak never touches your funds from start to finish. It's more like a tool than a custodian. There’s a dedicated research agent to help you find signals. During the strategy-building phase, the built-in AI, Almanak Code, converts your plain-language description into real, auditable code. The code is yours, not a black box. For simulations, you can paper trade directly on a mainnet fork to test everything before putting real money on the line. After deployment, it monitors position health in real time and provides alerts. The supported strategies are also quite specific: leveraged looped lending (Aave, Morpho, Compound, Spark), concentrated liquidity (Uniswap, Curve, Aerodrome), delta-neutral basis strategies (GMX perpetuals + spot/borrowing), stablecoin rotation, and hybrid strategies combining these modules. Currently, it supports 7 EVM chains: Base, Arbitrum, Ethereum, Polygon, Optimism, BNB Chain, and Avalanche. Of course, there’s still more to be done, like multi-chain arbitrage strategies for tokenized stocks. I’ve talked to the team, and they’re already working on it—it should be officially launched soon. https://app.almanak.co/invite?code=nSXTFEoh
