The Japanese government has imposed additional sanctions on Russia, freezing the assets of groups that use encrypted assets to evade sanctions

The Japanese government has decided at a cabinet meeting to impose additional sanctions on Russia, prohibiting the provision of operation, maintenance, insurance, and financing services to 35 vessels of Russia's "shadow fleet", and including 33 military related groups and 9 individuals on the asset freeze list, including those involved in using encrypted assets to evade financial sanctions.
