Vitalik Buterin: AI may weaken cryptography and put ECDSA at risk within two years

Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin stated that AI accelerated mathematical research may weaken the security of lattice cryptography and ECDSA. He suggested that the Ethereum ecosystem prioritize the use of hash cryptography schemes, avoiding the use of lattice based signatures and related zero knowledge proof structures. Privacy agreements should avoid storing encrypted information on the chain, and multi signature wallets should prioritize off chain signature confirmation. Users can store funds at addresses that have not initiated transactions with ease of operation, but it is not recommended to immediately migrate assets on a large scale.
