Odaily Planet Daily News: Ripple's Chief Legal Officer Stuart Alderoty posted on X this week, sharing his advice with the incoming leadership of the US SEC. Alderoty expressed confidence in the ability of the transition team to effectively address cryptocurrency regulatory issues and urged multiple actions to be taken. He wrote, "I believe the transition team will consider these basic conditions of cryptocurrency and make the right decision
Alderoty suggests immediately ending cryptocurrency lawsuits unrelated to fraud and promoting cooperation by ensuring the continued tenure of SEC commissioners Mark Uyeda and Hester Peirce. He emphasized the need to collaborate with Congress and financial regulatory agencies to establish clear and direct cryptocurrency rules, rather than assuming the jurisdiction of the SEC.
In addition, he called for abandoning Hinman's speech in 2018 and the digital asset analysis framework in 2019, increasing transparency in the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) process, and addressing past SEC issues through the Office of the Inspector General to take measures to restore public trust and accountability.
