--

According to Monad's development team, Category Labs, on June 6th, released a MIP-12 proposal proposing to shorten the network consensus voting interval from 400 milliseconds to 300 milliseconds to accelerate block confirmation speed. The proposal proposes to lower the maximum number of transactions from 5000 to 5000, the gas limit for block proposals from 200 million to 150 million, the byte limit for proposal from 2 million to 1.5 million, and the block reward from 25 MONs per block to 18 MONs. The adjustment needs to be implemented through a hard fork, and the proposal is currently in draft status.
