Pakistan sets a red line with Iran, attacking Saudi Arabia will be seen as an attack on Pakistan
According to Reuters, Pakistan has conveyed its position to Iran that any attack on Saudi Arabia will be considered an attack on Pakistan. According to the Joint Strategic Defense Agreement signed between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia in 2025, attacks against either party are considered aggression against both sides. Iran has informed the Houthis that if the United States attacks Iran's power facilities, the Houthis will consider blockading the Mandeb Strait. The Houthi armed forces have deployed missiles and drones near the Mandeb Strait. Pakistan hopes that all parties will exercise restraint and ease regional tensions through diplomatic means.
