[The ITIF Report States That the U.S. Humanoid Robotics Industry Lags Behind China]
The Information Technology and Innovation Foundation (ITIF) has pointed out that the United States is falling behind China in the field of humanoid robotics. By 2025, Chinese companies are expected to account for nearly 90% of global humanoid robot sales, with major companies collectively selling 12,868 units, while major U.S. companies are projected to sell only 450 units. The ITIF states that the U.S. lacks a national robotics strategy and that companies are slow to adopt the technology. In contrast, China has designated robotics as a national strategic priority and has driven industry expansion through subsidies and competitive pricing. The ITIF calls on the U.S. to regain its competitiveness by increasing R&D investment, supporting domestic manufacturers, and accelerating measures for robot deployment.
