Solana proposes SGP-0002 to advance the minimum issuance rate of 1.5% to 2029

According to Decrypt, Solana validators have proposed SGP-0002 to increase the annual decline rate of new token issuance to 30%, bringing forward the minimum issuance rate of 1.5% to 2029. It is expected that approximately 18.9 million SOLs will be issued in the next six years. The SGP-0001 proposal was approved to determine the follow-up governance mechanism, while the SGP-0003 proposal was not approved due to insufficient support. The proposal was originally intended to increase the daily destruction of approximately 650 SOLs to a maximum of 9000 SOLs.
