The United States plans to require signatory countries of AI Opportunity Statement to take sides between the AI camps of China and the United States
According to Reuters, the United States is preparing to require 35 AI Opportunity Statement signatories to choose sides between the Chinese and American AI camps. If they join the China led World Artificial Intelligence Cooperation Organization, they may be excluded from the US led cooperation system. Pax Silicon was established in the United States last year, with cooperation covering AI models, chips, key minerals, energy, and advanced manufacturing. China established the World Artificial Intelligence Cooperation Organization in July and promoted open weight models, AI training, and cooperation centers to developing countries. Kazakhstan is currently joining both the China US framework.
